Who can live at Pure?

Any full-time student (minimum 16 hours per week) studying in London who is 18 years of age or older on the date they submit the application form.

What is the contract length?

The contract length at all of our residences is 43/51 weeks - short stays are available to book from July to September -. Some semester stays may be available so please enquire with our bookings team.

What is included in the room rate?

All utility bills (water, lights, and electricity), internet access, 24 hour security, gym access (not inclusive at Pure Bankside & Pure City) and contents insurance.

Can I choose my room in the building?

Normally rooms are allocated on a first come first served basis. You can specify any special requests at the time of your booking and we will do our best to accommodate you in that room.

What is your cancellation policy?

Upon receipt of the email confirming your booking ('the acceptance email'), there is a 14 day cooling off period whereby you may cancel your booking by sending notice to us via email at: bookings@purestudentliving.com Thereafter charges will be incurred as detailed in our cancellation policy here.

Living at Pure

Is there somewhere to store my bike?

Yes, all Pure residences have secure bike storage available free to residents.

Do you have extra storage for suitcases?

If students need to arrive earlier than the check-in time on their contract start date, it is fine to leave suitcases with the Reception team until it's time to check-in. However there is no storage space at any of the Pure residences

What is my internet provision?

Ask4 are market leaders in the UK for internet provision specifically for students. They will provide each Pure room with 100MB broadband and Wi-Fi alongside internet support services.

You will need an Ethernet cable to connect to the network so please bring this with you. However, Wi-Fi will also be available throughout the building.

Residents can upgrade their personal internet speed via Ask4, however this will incur an additonal cost.

What furniture is in my room?

Our rooms are all standardised and have the same high-quality furniture throughout.

What are the guest policies?

Pure residences are your home so you are allowed to have friends and family visit you when you want, we just ask that you respect your fellow residents and sign your guests in and out of the buildings so we know who is in the building in case of an emergency.

Is there a curfew?

No, you can come and go as you please. 24-hour security will be available to welcome you at the front door.

Can I smoke in my room?

No, all Pure accommodation is non-smoking. You may smoke outside in designated smoking areas.

Is contents insurance provided?

Yes, we have partnered with the best provider of student contents insurance in the UK; Endsleigh Insurance. Policy detail will be provided to you on check-in.

Will I have a phone in-room?

Phones are not provided in-room, however Ask4 have provided VOIP telecoms which is available using your laptop and allows residents to call home at discounted rates.

Will I have a TV in-room?

No, however flat screen TV’s are provided in all communal areas and IPTV is available to stream on your laptop.

Will my room be cleaned?

At Pure we have a housekeeping team on-site, they will clean all communal areas in the reidence on a daily basis. This does not include your room.

What if something in my room breaks?

At Pure we have a maintenance team on-site, they maintain the residence and make sure that it is always in the best order for students living in the building. Should you have a problem with anything in your room; say your fridge stops working or a lightbulb needs replacing, they will fix it as soon as possible for you. Maintenance issues can be reported online or with the front desk.

Are there accessible facilities throughout the buildings?

All of our our pure residences feature accessible rooms alongside wheelchair and mobility access throughout.

Facilities at Pure

Is there a laundry?

Yes. At Pure we have enlisted the help of laundry specialists Circuit to manage our laundry facilities within the residence.

Is the use of the Gym included in my rent?

Yes. We have a fully kitted out gym and fitness suite in every residence (except Pure City & Bankside) which is free for students to use and open 24hrs/day.

What about my Post?

Our frontdesk and security staff will take collections for you and sort your mail. Each resident has a secure mailbox which they share with around 4/5 students living in the building.

What hours can I use the courtyard?

The courtyard is open from 10am-10pm and is a smoke-free zone.

Moving in

Do you provide bedding?

No. It is up to students to purchase their own bedding.

Can I move in early?

Yes, if your room is available. The additional charge will be at the current room rate per week and early move ins are on a week not daily basis. Please check with our reservations team as to whether your room is available to secure an early arrival.

What time is my check in/check out?

The on-site team will email you closer to your contract start date to advise the check-in time, this will either be from 10am or 3pm. The check-out time is 10am on your contract end date

What do I need to bring?

Provided your checklist is complete and the required rent payment is received, you will only need to provide an ID at Reception when you arrive to check-in

What documents are required for me to check-in at a Pure residence?

We require a copy of your passport, visa, photo and proof of address.

These documents must be emailed to the Bookings Team as soon as possible or at least 2 weeks before check in, the email address is bookings@purestudentliving.com. Failure to do this will mean that your check-in could be severely delayed and could possibly result in you not being able to check in.

What if I want to live in a different Pure residence to the one I have booked?

Should a resident book with us at one of our residence and then want to move to another residence, this will be possible providing there are rooms available. However any resident wishing to do this will incur a £50 administration fee if the move is prior to check in, the reservations team will process this, is the move is requested after check in, then the building reception team will process.

Payments

What is the normal payment structure?

You need to pay a booking fee of £250 at the time of making your booking. You then have two options, you can chose to pay in 3 instalments, the first instalment will be 40% of your total accommodation and will be due 2 weeks prior to arrival, the second instalment will be 40% of your total accommodation and due in January and your third instalment will be 20% and this will be due in April (note. Pure Aldgate instalments are worked out differently). Alternatively you can pay the full rent 10 days before your arrival.

What is my booking fee?

Once you check in your booking fee will be converted to a refundable damage deposit. To find out more about how your deposit works, please view visit the Tenancy Deposit Scheme website here.

Do I need a television licence?

Yes, if you watch television in your bedroom. All homes in the UK require a television licence and your room is treated as a home under the licensing authority's definition. There is a large screen television with Sky in the Social Hub which has a television licence associated with it. However, for IPTV provided by Ask4 and viewed in your room, you will need a licence. What other charges can I expect?

You will have to pay for laundry, phone calls, your TV licence, upgrade of insurance or internet packages, and any items purchased from the vending machine.

Can I pay by Bank Transfer

It is possible to pay by bank transfer, however please be aware that it can take up to 5 working days to reach us and the payment must be showing in your account before you would be able to check-in to the residence.

Arranging a viewing

How do I book my viewing appointment?

Its simple. You can book via our online booking form, or contact us by phone, email, or online chat here to arrange your appointment. Our office hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday

Is it free?

Yes.

How long does it take?

The tour will take anything from 30 – 45 minutes depending on how many questions you have for the team member showing you around.

What appointments are available?

Tours can be booked online at each of our residences and are available Monday to Friday at the following times: 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.

What if the appointment I want is not available?

Just contact a member of the Pure bookings team who will be happy to help you

How do I know my booking has been confirmed?

We will send you a confirmation email for your viewing of the residence. The email lists the residence address and contact telephone number, should you need help with locating the building.

What if I need to cancel the appointment?

Just contact us giving 24 hours notice and we will cancel your appointment for you.

What will I see at the viewing?

A member of the on-site team will show you around the social and communal spaces of the residence as well as a showroom.

Where is the meeting point?

When you arrive at the residence, please let the Reception team know that you are there for a tour. They will ask you to fill out a quick tour form before the tour starts.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 5 minutes before your booked time slot.

Can I bring anyone with me on the tour?

Absolutely, we welcome family and friends on tours. But please let us know at the time of making your booking if you will be bringing additional people on the tour.
