Where to watch the FA Cup and Champions League finals

May is a massive month for football. The season ends, the Premier League Champions are crowned, we find out who's being promoted and who's being relegated, and of course the FA Cup Final takes place at Wembley. But it's not just a big month for English football – the UEFA Champions League Final is always played at the end of May.

London is an exciting place to be when there's a big football match on – whether it's taking place in London or not. So here's a handful of places you can catch May's most important games.

The Dugout (Southwark)

The Dugout doesn't just show the weekend's biggest fixtures – it shows pretty much every football match that's televised. English, Scottish, Spanish, Italian, German, you name it – if it's on TV they'll show it. And they have loads of HD screens, so you'll have a great view of the action wherever you're sat.

Of course, on FA Cup Final day it will probably get very busy – and the same goes for Champions League Final night. So, our advice is simple: get down to the Dugout a good few hours before kick-off, get comfy, and get some food ordered. The time will fly.

Oh, and it's just a 10-minute stroll from our Bankside accommodation – so if you're staying there (or planning to stay there), now you know where to go if you ever need a place to watch the match.

Bar Kick and Cafe Kick

Here we give you two suggestions in one – both are owned by the same people, and both are dedicated to screening live football from all around the world. And to match, they've got an impressive selection of international beers.

Not only are these sibling bars great for watching football – they're also ideal for those who like to have fun and play a little table football from time to time. We'd advise that you just keep an eye on their live football schedules (which seem to be pretty much identical) – put it this way: both locations show the important games.

Bar Kick is in Shoreditch, and is just over a mile away from our City accommodation. It takes about 20 minutes to get there on foot, or if you're running a bit late you can get the number 55 bus. Cafe Kick is in Clerkenwell, which is even closer to our City building – literally a 10-minute walk.
