After a seemingly endless summer of waiting the new university year is finally upon us, and with it an exciting new chapter in the lives of many of our residents.

We’ll start by congratulating all of you, because if you’ve made it this far it means you’ve achieved what you wanted up to this point. We’d like to welcome you to London and your new accommodation with a few hints and tips to help things get off to a good start.

Your accommodation

For many of you, this will be your first time away from home, but you can rest assured that our staff are here to help you settle in as easily as possible.

Your accommodation provides everything you need, so you should have no trouble with getting on with your day-to-day routine. All your utility bills are included in your rent, so you don’t have to worry about these during the course of the year. Our residences also have laundry and post facilities, as well as a secure bike store for those of you who are planning to cycle to and from lectures.

You needn’t worry about making new friends here either. Don’t be shy, most of your fellow residents are likely to be in the same position as you, so start saying hello as soon as you get here and we’re sure you’ll be chatting away in no time.

Your university

Pure Student Living accepts students from all London universities, most of which will welcome students in a similar way. From a study perspective, you should have received everything you need from your course administrator before you arrive. This will include lecture timetables, reading lists and registration information.

Make sure you take all this in and get everything done in good time before you course starts, as you don’t want to end up falling behind before you’ve even started. If you have a question, contact your university as soon as possible to get the issue resolved.

From a social perspective, you can head over to your student union to find out what’s happening throughout the year, while there will probably be plenty of ways to discover events on social media. There will also be societies to join, depending on your interests.

Living in London

Our new residents this year will be enjoying one of our three locations across London.

Pure Highbury in Islington puts you at the heart of North London, close to leafy Finsbury Park and Shoreditch, a haven for students looking to stand out from the crowd. Kings Cross is also nearby, and from here it is very easy to get anywhere you want to go in London.

South London is home to Pure Bankside, sat near the edge of the River Thames and near a whole host of attractions such as Tower Bridge and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. You are also just a pleasant riverside stroll from Westminster and the London Eye, so you really are at the heart of the action here.

Over in west London, Pure Hammersmith enjoys an extremely popular location in one of the city’s primary entertainment hubs. Culture fans are close to plenty of live theatre, music and comedy, while the museums of Kensington are also nearby.

Wherever you choose to stay, at Pure Student Living you can rest assured that everything is in place for you to succeed in your studies and enjoy your time in one of the world’s greatest cities.
