There’s a rich and diverse mix of people in London, which is what makes our food culture so great.
We also have the perfect weather for growing organic produce and a lot of it can be found on the stalls of our open-air food markets. The market in Lyric Square, Hammersmith, has been running every Thursday for the past seven years and each week has something new to tempt the huge mix of people that come through – from around West London and further afield.
Why traipse round a boring supermarket when you can come here, pick up organic bread and locally grown fruit and vegetables and meet the people that produce them? As well as stocking up on groceries you can feast while you walk on French, Thai, Caribbean or Phillipino cusine to name just a few.
